The HIMA H51Q-HRS is a Safety-Related Programmable Electronic System (PES) from the HIMA HIQuad H51q System Family, designed for high-availability, safety-critical applications in industrial automation, such as process control, burner management, and turbine protection. Manufactured by HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH, a specialist in functional safety, this modular system features redundant central modules and a redundant I/O bus, achieving Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 per IEC 61508 and Category 4 per EN 954-1. It is housed in a 19-inch, 5-unit-high central rack with up to 16 additional 4-unit-high I/O subracks, supporting thousands of I/Os. The H51Q-HRS is suited for industries like oil and gas, chemicals, and power generation, offering scalable fault tolerance, TÜV certification, and integration with modernized HIQuad X components for long-term reliability.
