Installation and Operation Notes


 

  • Hazardous Area Compliance:

    Refer to Document 12P2046 (DeltaV™ Scalable Process System Zone 2 Installation Instructions)

    and the Installing Your DeltaV Automation System manual.

  • Removal and Insertion:

     


    • When used with KJ1501X1-BC1 System Dual DC/DC Power Supply operating on 24 VDC or 12 VDC input.

    • The primary circuit wiring inductance must be less than 23 µH, or use a certified supply with Ui = 12.6 VDC and Lo < 23 µH.

    • Field power must be removed before inserting or removing the device

    • May be removed/inserted while system power is energized under certain conditions (Only one unit at a time).

       


    • Non-sparking field circuits must be de-energized before removal or insertion.

  • Rotary Keying System:

    Ensures compatibility between I/O cards and terminal blocks after installation. The terminal block must have the keys set for the I/O card.


 



 

Maintenance and Adjustment


 

  • Contains no user-serviceable parts.

  • Do not disassemble.

  • No calibration required.
