Fifth Year of the Manufacturing Mash-Up
The Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) hosted the fifth annual Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up on October 21.
The event took place at Gillette Stadium, bringing together industry leaders, educators, and students from across the state.
Organizers aimed to celebrate innovation, foster collaboration, and strengthen Massachusetts’ growing manufacturing community.
A Full Day of Learning and Connection
Throughout the day, attendees explored exhibitions, live demos, and interactive sessions.
More than 300 students from high schools, community colleges, and universities joined the program.
They connected directly with manufacturers, gaining hands-on experience and real insight into future career paths.
The Mash-Up encouraged knowledge exchange, networking, and a renewed sense of purpose for local industry.

CAM used the event to highlight workforce development and education.
Manufacturers discussed new technologies and strategies for resilience in changing markets.

Announcing New MMAP Awards
CAM also introduced 29 new Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program (MMAP) awards.
Leaders unveiled updates to MMAP, including more funding and simpler matching requirements.
These enhancements aim to help more companies innovate, scale, and participate in statewide growth.
Leaders Gather to Support Industry Growth
Governor Maura Healey joined the celebration along with several key officials.
They included Economic Development Secretary Eric Paley and Education Secretary Patrick Tutwiler.
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative CEO Carolyn Kirk and CAM Director Lily Fitzgerald also addressed the crowd.
Together, they emphasized collaboration and commitment to advancing the state’s industrial ecosystem.
